This class is focused on piano basics such as establishing correct hand position, posture, learning notation, and developing hearing ability to identify and achieve beautiful tone quality. Students are introduced to various piano techniques and will be able to apply these skills to their repertoire. In addition, students develop sight reading skills and will learn fundamentals of music theory. Preparation for regional and international piano competitions, festivals, and CM test can be requested at this level too.
